Ten-year-old Andrius is not like other children. He is a boy with a pure and trusting heart who often seeks refuge in a dream world, where he can find undiscovered lands, where a watchmaker dressed in centuries-old clothes treats children with coffee brewed in a lushly decorated coffee set, and where an old man who flies a hang glider he has built for himself invites children to a fantastic city to look for a special butterfly that his collection is still lacking. Having said mysterious magical words, “bitė ritė baltaragė”, Andrius, a student at the music school, would immediately enter his dream world, where problems do not exist.
A children’s choir from Prague arrives on tour to Vilnius, and a girl Jana is staying as a guest at Andrius’ house. The kids become friends. They speak different languages, but they have no difficulty understanding each other. Andrius reveals his magical words to Jana as a gift. But when Jana leaves, all that is left for Andrius is a dreamy memory of her and his longing expressed through a flowing melody of a flute.
